Van Erk Berkenwoude
We would like to tell you the story of our cheesemaker Marco van Erk. In 2010, Marco and his brothers took over the cheese farm from the Oskam family in Berkenwoude. This was the first step into the world of farm cheese. There are now approximately 300 cows on their farm. All the milk they give is used to make cheese. The 16 kg Boeren Gouda cheese is a real winner. This cheese is very creamy, soft and creamy and is made in the same way as Mr. Oskam used to do. He taught Marco the tricks of the trade.
Quality cheese
The quality of the cheese is very important. From the feed and milking to the ripening of the cheese influences the quality. The milk they work with is raw or thermized. This means that it is a real natural product and that nature has an influence on this. The weather conditions and the time of year, for example, have a major influence on the composition of the milk and ultimately also on how the cheese tastes.
Enjoying a delicious drink is all about relaxing together, enjoying good company, and savoring tasty snacks. A table laden with cheese, charcuterie, olives, and a glass of wine or beer completes the picture. It's the perfect time to catch up, laugh, and toast. At Kaas & Borrelz, you've come to the right place. Our selection is composed of only the finest products, so you can make every occasion a celebration!
