1. With love for the cow Milk quality begins with the cows' well-being. The cows are fed a balanced diet and graze in the pasture for at least 191 days a year, 10 hours a day, which exceeds Dutch legal standards. This encourages natural behavior and contributes to healthier animals and better milk. In addition, a Cow Compass is used to continuously monitor and improve their health.
2. With love for people The farmers who supply the milk receive a fair price, which motivates them to deliver sustainable and high-quality milk. Workshops and training sessions are also organized to increase knowledge about sustainable business practices, and farmers are rewarded for their sustainability performance.
3. With love for the land Weydeland cheese contributes to the preservation of the Dutch landscape by allowing cows to graze in the pasture and using natural grasslands for feed. Farms work on circular principles, maximizing the use of natural resources such as grass and their own manure, thus reducing the use of artificial fertilizers and concentrates.
4. Green transport The milk is transported sustainably to the cheese dairy using transport methods that reduce CO₂ emissions.
